About Us

Puratos Grand-Place Vietnam (PGPV for short) is a joint venture between Puratos Group and Grand-Place Holding. Both companies have roots in Belgium and made their first investment in Vietnam more than 20 years ago. In 2013, PGPV started to develop a model of full vertical integration by opening the first post-harvest center in Ben Tre to purchase cocoa beans and provide intensive training to the local Cacao farmers. Particularly, we invested resources and budget in in-depth research on the fermentation mastering which most industry players dismissed.
30th October 2013, at the “Salon du Chocolat” in Paris, PGPV proudly won an International Cocoa Award for best cocoa in the Asia-Pacific region. The International Cocoa Award for best cocoa in the Asia-Pacific region is the result of PGPI constant focus on getting the best quality cocoa in the region. The prize is the reward of an intense R&D work on fermentation and drying started by the team in 2009 with the intention of creating a new origin chocolate from high-quality beans under its own Cacao-Trace certification.
